Howard Goldman is the principal of the firm, which he founded in 1999.  Mr. Goldman graduated from law school in 1975 and practiced municipal and environmental law in Alaska from 1976-1980.  From 1980-83, he was the Deputy Counsel to the City Planning Commission.

Prior to starting his firm, Mr. Goldman was a partner at the Manhattan law firms of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, Winthrop Stimson Putnam & Roberts, and Wachtel & Masyr.  Howard is a respected member of the City’s land use bar and an adjunct professor at the NYU Real Estate Institute.   


 

 

Chris Wright

Chris Wright is a real estate attorney with over twenty years experience in both the public and private sector guiding economic development projects thought the public review process. He formerly worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the New York City Council, and the Board of Education.

 

Mr. Wright received his JD from New York Law School in 1988 and received an MA in Political Science from New York University in 1985. He attended Macalester College.

 


 

 
 

Emily Simons

Emily Simons is a land use and transactional real estate lawyer with almost twenty years of public and private sector experience. She was a staff attorney in the Counsel's office of the New York City Department of City Planning for thirteen years. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Howard Goldman, she worked at the law firm of Kurzman Karolsen & Frank, LLP on land use matters, as well as real estate financing, conveyancing and securing governmental approvals for real estate matters. She began her career in the public interest sector, working on community development and owner sponsored cooperative and condominium projects.

 

Ms. Simons received her JD from Fordham Law School in 1983 and her BA in criminal justice in 1979 from John Jay College (CUNY).
